Kashikojima Island is surrounded by the natural abundance and scenic beauty of Ago Bay, one of the finest sights in Japan. Close to the great Shinto shrine of Ise Jingu, the spiritual home of the Japanese people, this is a special place, where time seems to stand still. Our little hotel started out as a restaurant, but has become not just a place to savor fine food, but a place to stay and relax- a destination.

Foods

Enjoy the finest cuisine in 'a beautiful land' The ancient kingdom of Ise is described in the Nihon Shoki, Japan’s oldest historical record, as umashi kuni (a beautiful land). The Shima area is renowned for its produce; in ancient times it was a miketsu-kuni sending offerings of foodstuffs to the Imperial household and court. Though our menus center on French cuisine, we are not bound by a single culinary tradition, but let our imagination run free in devising the finest dishes for our guests.

Baths

Relax in the private open hot spring under the beautiful starry sky In addition to the own hot spring bath at every guest room, a private open hot spring bath is available. From the bath, you can overlook the Ago Bay, which produces a mysterious atmosphere with flames at night. The hypotonic weakly alkaline low hot spring quality has outstanding effects on neuralgia, coldness and fatigue.

Because of the beautiful weather during our stay, we could enjoy the gorgeous view of Ago Bay. Not to mention the dining, amenities, the hospitality, everything was the word-class. It isn't cheap but it is worth staying. I am very satisfied and would like to come back here again. + More

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Hiramatsu was the place where we have been dreaming to go someday. Facilities, service, food and everything was beyond our expectation. We could have had the best anniversary. Especially, we were moved and astonished by the hospitality of the staffs including landlady and the manager. As might have been expected of this high-class resort, the hospitality was incredible. This hotel is in the top of my hotel list I’ve visited and would love to come back here again someday for sure. + More

To celebrate the belated Mother’s Day and “koki”, which is the event to celebrate seventy years of age, I stayed here with my mother. At first, my mother was complaining by saying “May is not the best season to go to Onsen” however, once she saw the beautiful view of Ago bay, she seemed very happy and satisfied with the gorgeous scenery from the room. The food was amazing and seemed like she enjoyed many first experiences in her life during this stay. I was happy to hear her request to ask me to come back here again. Unfortunately, Ise lobsters weren’t available this time, we would like to come back here again in fall. Just one thing, the private open hot spring is needed to be booked beforehand and it was a little bit frustrating that we could not use it anytime we wanted. If I can say my desire, it is great if we can watch movies in the room. Thanks for listening to our requests. + More

Very satisfied. I found nothing to concern about. We were with a little child but the staffs were very cooperative during ourstay. For example, they kindly accepted our special requests regarding the menu for our child, they gave us a blanket when she fell asleep and even warmed the dishes up again when she woke up. The place was very quiet, has the fine view and facilities are very serene but brilliant and we all found it is very comfortable place to stay. + More
