Surrounded by the hot spring's steam expanding to touch nature The refined experience of being surrounded by the hot spring's steam expanding to touch nature reflecting the season.
Urara-no-yu is filled by water from the Kusatsu hot spring, which is said to have many positive effects. Both the women's and men's baths have a sauna and an open-air bath made of Japanese cedar. The budding leaves are reflected in the bath in the spring, and a cool wind passes over it in the summer. The wide open skies can be enjoyed in the fall, and in the winter, the warmth of the bath is perfect for enjoying the snowscape. The relaxing and glorious feeling that can be enjoyed at any time of the year brings about a sense of refinement.

The distance to the hot water field was good for it was neither too near nor too far. I was satisfied with this hideaway type inn. It was very good because the staff were radiant. I love the sense of openness of the open-air bath windows that is always opened. I also asked them to pick me up to the hot water field. The meal was the perfect Japanese meal which was delicious. The souvenir of steamed buns were delicious. I was able to spend the quality time. I want to go there again. + More

I stayed here again after about three years, and everything was fantastic as I had been expecting. I also made a reservation for my wedding anniversary in December this year. My wife is very excited about it. + More

The bath as well as the concierge service were great. I am pleased to have found the place to relax in Kusatsu. The meal was very nice and well finished even in the details and I understood that the dished had been very well considered before cooking. However, the dinner was so hearty for me that I would like to make a reservation next time with a light meal plan. And thank you very much for the souvenir. I will visit you again. + More

It is a wonderful inn. The hot spring, the service of the staffs, and the presentation of the cooking, etc. were wonderful. Thanks to these things, I could relax. The only disappointing thing is that tempura of Fatsia sprouts was cold but it did not have crunchy texture and the ingredients of miso soup looked like leftover vegetables like vegetable ingredients in 'ton jiru' (pork soup). Also, fruits in the dessert was canned pineapples. I could not find a luxury foodstuff or rare ingredients, but the broth of the soup, cooked dishes, the degree of roast of red rock-fish with fuki-miso, the amount of soy sauce of rice seasoned and cooked with shrimp were superb. I understood a good palate and a great skill of the chef. I wanted to come back here some day. Also, thank you very much for celebrating my mother's birthday together. + More

It was not too formal, so I could relax. The food was enjoyable. If I have to mention a negative point, I could hear people chatting from the direction of the backyard while I was eating. When I have another opportunity, I want to stay here again. My wife was happy, too. + More

This time, on my wife's 51st birthday we stayed at Tsutsuji-tei in Kusatsu. As a whole the impression was normal, the cost may be expensive, I definitely imagined a Japanese-style restaurant & inn Tsutsuji-tei which was an old store of Kusatsu spa..., there was a pause too much between each dish because we did not drink alcohol..., although we enjoyed our meal, frankly speaking, we did not have enough food at all. Tsutsuji-tei had so grace that we felt like a fish out of water because we were poor. The container of wata-manju given us when welcoming and steamed towels were not put away until next morning, also changing the ashtray was not done until next morning, and there were webs above the refrigerator..., futons in the oshiire were tucked away very messy, I definitely imagined sheets in the inn were starched, but the sheet of the top cover was flimsy and wrinkled, and the toilet seat was distorted, so I could not help wondering why there were no scratches. I was very glad at the innkeeper's greetings and birthday's present, and the men of staff were kind to me, that was the only good memory of Kusatsu spa. + More

This was a good inn where I could feel relaxed as usual. In Kusatsu, I cannot think of any other inns other than this inn. I will revisit it. + More

I visited in the middle of April. Overall, the facilities felt old, but the food and service were very good. A group (which seems to be a rare occurrence) were staying here, but I don't feel bothered by it during my stay as the staff were considerate. It's an inn I would love to visit again. + More

It was a wonderful hotel where I could have a quiet relaxing time far from the noise and bustle of Yubatake. It was 100% hot-spring source for the bath in the room so I had a very nice bath. They drive you to and from Yubata, Yumomi show and the Big open air bath in Kawara parc in the west when you want. I was glad that the driver was a kind elderly person. I hope to see him again. The meal was not particularly impressive but an excellent quality. I would like to stay in ski season again. + More

I use the hotel at the same time of the year every year, and I am very satisfied by the hot spring, the service and the dinner. This time the breakfast was especially refined, and was better than ever before. Until now the difference between the wonderful quality of the dinner and the quality of breakfast was about too large. The problem is that the towels used in the bath smell terribly of some germs, maybe because they dry them in the shade, and I always bring my own towels from my home. Please make a change about it. It is a hot spring the guests have long awaited for, and we would like to stay feeling good. + More
