We were happy to have decided on staying in Dogo-kan, after we had been contemplating among various options to stay in Dogo Onsen. We were nourished by the meals, the outdoor spa attaced to the room and the smiles of the room attendant. It became a good memory for our trip in Shikoku. The next day, a staff kindly let us park for extra hours in their parking lot and in addition to that, he sent us off to sightseeing, until we had disappeared from his sight. We were so touched from this generous treats of him. Since we had ordered Lobster as an extra, so that we had made a change in the meal package to reduce the amount, still the food was plenty!! We even could not finish steamed rice with red snapper in the end of course, which was cooked separately in small single pots. Moreover, the taste of the water in a jug placed in the room was so great. One thing we felt pity was the extra charge of 500 yen for parking a car. It would be better if it would have been included in the accommodation charge, especially because it is small fee. We are fond of traveling, we go for holidays a few times in a year and this is the Ryokan I would certainly recommend to my friends. + More

For my mom’s 70’s birthday, I took my parents for the treat and we stayed in Dogo-kan. I live nearby and therefore I had been here occasionally for party, meal, and bath, but this was my first time to spend in Dogo away from my daily life and the hustle. We were so pleased from the every care that our room attendant paid to us. Moreover, we were so delighted from the meals in which all dishes were thoroughly made. they were so beautiful to the eyes and fantastic in the taste. I was so happy to hear that my parents had enjoyed their stay and that it became a sweet memory for them. I will definitely come around for another meal and bath!! Thank you very much, I am so glad to have decided on Dogokan, out of many many tempting options!! + More

My father and I stayed in Dogokan on a visit to my hometown to help him out arranging the house of my grandparents. We had a pleasant stay, were so satisfied with Onsen Hot Spring, the meals and everything. Thanks deeply for the services. -Dinner: the meal was delicious and also beautiful to see it. It seemed they used materials of the local area. My dad loved it so much. -Breakfast: It was nice that they have varieties of choice for rice, like white rice or mixed grain rice. It would be even better if they would have a congee. -Hot spring: I had a pleasant time there. There are both tepid and hot bath. It was pity that the outdoor spa had only hot tubs. There were enough towels and amenities in the dressing room, also the staff who came to look after them was so friendly. -Room: Outdoor spa attached to the room had a nice atmosphere, the water temperature was just right for me and I had a great time bathing there. Moreover, much attention was paid to my father who has the weakness in his legs. They prepared for him a chair around the mealtime, and made an easy access to the outdoor spa. Thanks to our young room attendant who was so generous, we had pleasant time staying there. It was pity that I didn’t have enough time to enjoy myself fully this time, due to the arrangement of the house, but it made me feel like coming back here in my next visit to stay at ease, away from the bustles. I would like to visit here again. + More

I liked so much the fact that breakfast was to be reserved, with a Kaiseki style meal in a spacious semi private room, not a buffet. It was also satisfying to have the complete different sets of meal each time during the 2 days of our stay. The Onsen Hot Spring here has a pool with mild temperature, so that someone like me, who cannot stay in a hot bath, could really enjoy bathing for a long time. I am looking forward to visiting again in some occasions. + More
